A simple pan-fried steak with sautéed vegetables and steak sauce (this one is for mom.)
Ingredients
- 1 steak
- 1/4 cups onion
- 1/4 cups bell peppers
- 1/4 cups mushrooms
- 1/2 cups water
- 1 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 1 pinch onion powder
- 1 pinch garlic powder
- 1 pinch black pepper
Directions
- Chop onions, bell peppers and mushrooms.
- Heat cast iron pan on medium to high heat (about 6 to 8 on the induction stove.)
- Add a little bit of olive oil to the pan.
- Place steak onto pan, cook until the steak has a nice sear on it (about 2 to 4 minutes at most.)
- Flip steak over to sear the other side.
- Lower heat to medium (4 to 5 on the induction stove) and cook, flipping occasionally, until steak is done to your liking (check with a knife.)
- Remove the steak and drain the extra juices back onto the pan.
- Simmer the steak juices until it browns and bubbles.
- Add the water to deglaze the pan and stir the mixture continuously. Make sure to scrape the bottom well.
- Add the salt, onion powder, garlic powder and black pepper to the pan sauce.
- Keep stirring until the sauce thickens (if it’s about to burn and is still too watery, add a few small pinches of flour to thicken it.)
- In a saucepan, add the olive oil, mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers.
- Cook at medium to high heat (about 6 to 7 on the induction stove) until the vegetables are soft and brown a little.
- Place steak on a plate, cover with the vegetables and pour the steak sauce on top.

Super simple bread base.
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Directions
- Combine ingredients in a bowl and mix.
- Knead dough together until it becomes as stretchy as you need
- Bake at 350 F until golden brown

Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon yeast
- 1/3 cups brown sugar
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 tablespoons cinnamon
Directions
- Combine flour, water, salt and yeast in a bowl
- Knead dough until soft and let rise
- Soften butter
- Flour counter and roll out dough into a thin sheet
- Spread butter over dough
- Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over buttered dough
- Roll dough into a tube
- Slice dough into smaller rolls
- Bake at 350 F for 10 minutes or until golden brown
